I really enjoyed reading this book which explores how to grow citrus plants in different parts of the US. Clearly written & nice photos. I have been following the blog of the author Darren Sheriff (AKA "The Citrus Guy") who is a master gardener and was so happy that learn that he wrote a book about this subject.I purchased the Kindle version which I felt was quite affordable, although I wouldn't mind having a hard copy to peruse as well.Darren covers such subjects as how to grow citrus in containers, soil, fertilizers, disease control and protection from the cold. Of course the citrus plants would have to be grown in containers so that they can be moved indoors in case the temperature gets too cold and Darren explains how to create an environment for them to grown indoors during the cold season even if you do not have a sunroom. He even speaks about how to propagate the plants.He clearly has a passion for the subject and a strong desire to share his expertise. I was impressed with Darren's commitment to teach people how to grow citrus and that he even included his email address in the book so that people could contact him with further questions.
I have been having trouble growing my fruit trees and you have many pointers and solutions. The book has alot of info on varieties as well. Great !
You cannot even call this a book. It's a pamphlet or an outline for a book. Certainly not worth the money they are asking for it. Much of his information is general and incomplete. Some of his chapters are only 2 pages long. Obviously, he did not put much effort into it. It is woefully inadequate and abbreviated.
Lots of ideas outside of the citrus zone! My trees are thriving
This is a vaery good simple book to help you start growing citrus at home!
