Most of the book is a systemic romp through the inventory of tools one can or ought to have at their disposal. Every page, practically, sends you back to the Rusty Nut website, leaving the impression that the book is somehow just a partial, incomplete resource. What's very good, however, is the step-wise, almost militant, process the author advises, escalating the degree of ferocity contra rusty nuts with each step. Lots of scattered tidbits of advice, history, and technical scattered throughout the book. I'm keeping it handy in my home workshop bookcase. Worthwhile purchase, but with room for editorial improvements in the next edition.
A fantastic guide to everything you could ever possibly want to know about removing bolts and screws - I have used this book many times since I bought it, mostly recently to remove several rusted bolts from an old Hills Hoist during a garden renovation. Descriptions are straightforward and easy to read, with a great line of humor running through so that it doesn't get too heavy on the technical side. If you own an old house like I do, or even an old car or anything else with a bunch of old bolts or screws, I'd definitely recommend picking up this book - it's something that you'll refer to time and again, and will save you a whole lot of frustration.

I am not an avid reader of any books, but I do like reading manuals and how-to guides. I read the entire book in 3 sittings and really enjoyed the nitty gritty of why different methods work. There is a good smattering of humour through out the book and it was a good casual read. I wished there were a few more diagrams and images of nasty fasteners. It was interesting to learn about the subtle difference between the shapes of sockets etc. I did kind of skim through the safety clothes section.
